
The Fort Worth Housing Authority (FWHA) recently
received regional and national recognition from the National
Association of Housing and Redevelopment Officials (NAHRO) for many
of our innovative programs.
NAHRO is a professional membership organization comprised of 21,227
housing and community development agencies and officials throughout
the United States who administer a variety of affordable housing and
community development programs at the local level.
Each year, NAHRO recognizes
agencies for innovation and achievement in housing and community
development programs throughout the country. Awards of Merit and
Excellence are presented for these programs.
The Fort Worth Housing Authority received two 2008
Southwest Regional NAHRO Agency Awards of Merit for the
following programs:

In addition to receiving Awards of Merit, the Gifts
in Kind, Cambridge Courts and Procurement Training programs were
also nominated for Awards of Excellence for outstanding innovation
and achievement.
The Fort Worth Housing Authority is proud to share

support our efforts to provide public housing residents with the
resources necessary for the achievement of economic and housing
self-sufficiency. With the support and assistance from agencies such
as yours, FWHA is able to facilitate the movement of public housing
