FWHA develops, owns, and operates quality affordable and accessible housing for citizens of
Fort Worth and Tarrant County with a range of incomes utilizing various federal, state, and local programs. Our agency currently provides more than 6,000 units of quality affordable housing and serves more than 18,000 citizens.
The Conventional Public Housing program is housing that
is owned and managed by the Housing Authority. This program includes
subsidized rental housing for low- and moderate income eligible families,
elderly, and persons with disabilities. Families pay a rental amount that is
generally 30% of their adjusted income.
Currently, FWHA owns and
manages three (3) family site developments, one elderly and handicapped
site and several scattered site units located throughout the City of Fort
Worth.
Communities offer property management, maintenance and various programs and
services for residents.
FWHA is an Equal Housing Opportunity agency. It is
our policy to provide services without regard to race, color, religion,
national origin, ancestry, age, sex, familial status, physical handicap or
