Property owners help the Housing Authority serve thousands of families in the Housing Choice Voucher (HCV) Program and receive benefits such as market rate rent payments and free marketing on a national data base.

FWHA is currently recruiting property owners with rental properties in all areas of the City of Fort Worth to participate in the Housing Choice Voucher and Shelter + Care Programs.
These programs have the same obligations and restrictions as renting under the private unassisted market. The biggest difference is the HQS inspection requirements and the HUD lease addendum that must be attached to the property owner’s lease.
FWHA holds new property owner orientation meetings at 9:00 a.m. on the second Tuesday of each month in its Administrative Office at 1201 E. 13th Street in the Auditorium. Attendance at the orientation is mandatory to participate in FWHA assistance programs, and will explain guidelines and required paperwork.
