The Purchasing Department is the central source of procurement
and materials
management for the Fort Worth Housing Authority. All procurements
for general supplies, equipment, furniture, construction, professional services
and maintenance services are processed through this department
The objective of the Purchasing Department is to acquire and provide goods and
services to meet the needs of the Housing Authority and at the "best value" to
the Housing Authority. This goal includes ensuring that the competitive bidding
process is open, fair and free of any artificial barriers.

The normal hours of operation are 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Monday through Friday.
It is the goal of the Fort Worth Housing Authority to include the participation

and participating member entity of the North Central Texas Regional
Certification Agency (NCTRCA). The NCTRCA was created by several governmental
