The FWHA’s Resident Services Department is responsible for assessing the needs of residents and coordinating resident-focused programs that encourage them to achieve their highest level of economic and social independence. The department links program participants to much needed vocational, employment, and educational training, transportation, daycare, health care, and other ancillary services.

Senior/Disabled Services

FWHA offers assistance to elderly and disabled program participants that make it easier for them to ‘age in place’ and live an independent lifestyle.  Assistance is provided with  completing paperwork for required social services and may include help with:


  • Budgeting & Housekeeping
  • Free Meal Services
  • Rent & Utilities Assistance
  • Healthcare Services
  • Transportation
  • Social Security, SSI, Medicare or Medicaid and Lone Star
